Found inside the covers of this item you will find records from agencies like the Division of Equal Educational Opportunity. Underneath the heading you find administrative files, reading files, grant reports and much more. They give a brief synopsis of what is contained, how things are arranged, the entry number and location of said file. There is nothing in depth in these files. Some files have a more detailed scope and content section than others but if you want further details, you will have to more research on your own. These files are a good place to start though and can give you a brief overview of the different agencies and what they did. You will also find a list of sources and contact information if you want to deal with them directly. The document is divided by where the records are kept. Some are stored in the Center for Legislative Archives, others in the National Archives and some are kept in Presidential Libraries. There are also four appendixes identifying publications, electronic records and microfilm collections that pertain to civil rights.
There is much to read and learn in this item. Especially interesting to me were the case files from the courts. There was a brief description of the case, who was involved and what happened. I thought they gave enough information to be useful and if you wanted more, you could research it on your own. Stop by and take a look at this document or check out others in the series.
