There is a section about the outlook of employment and what the percentages are of full time versus part time in different industries. There are a few charts showing what employment was when the guide was written and what they projected it to be in the future. The rest of the book is divided by industries like agriculture, social services, financial activities and many more. Each section describes the industry and employment. For example, if you were interested in insurance, you would turn to page 180. At the top, you will find three significant points. One for banking is” jobs in office and administrative occupations usually may be entered with a high school diploma but employers prefer college graduates for sales, managerial, and professional jobs” (Career Guide to Industries, 180). Ten industries are covered and each industry in broken down further into at least three different areas.
